The station also noted that this is three degrees cooler than the previous day’s record-tying 117. The heat alerts are still very much in place, too. According to AZFamily, an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through Saturday night. Friday and Saturday are both First Alert days for the heat, and Sunday is also a First Alert weather day because of the potential for storms.
