According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Smith recently won a 2026 Young Artist Academy Award for best supporting performance in a streaming film. That award has previously recognized stars like Jennifer Lawrence, which is a tidy reminder that the entertainment world loves a good “young talent” story right up until it has to explain why the talent is already better than half the room.
Smith’s resume is not exactly light, either. She has performed in 15 plays and 25 feature films, and she is also nominated for an Arizoni Theatre Award. For a teenager, that is a lot of stage time, a lot of screen time, and presumably a lot of people asking how she manages school on top of all that.
The FOX 10 report says Smith spends her time studying old movies when school gets out, which is about as on-brand as it gets for someone building a career in acting.
