Stoop Kid is getting ready to bring its smash burgers into a new home inside Joy Lush Club, according to Phoenix New Times.
The move ties together two Valley businesses that already fit the same easygoing night-out rhythm. Stoop Kid has built a following for standout smash burgers at The Churchill, while Joy Lush Club is the wine-and-beer bar Mike Fasel opened with his wife, Kate, in 2022 inside a shopping center on Camelback Road and Central Avenue, Phoenix New Times reported.
That makes this feel less like a random expansion and more like a natural mashup. Burgers and drinks already go hand in hand for a lot of people, and this setup leans right into that. Instead of treating food and bar service as separate stops, the two spots are combining them into one destination for craft brews and burgers, which is exactly the kind of move that tends to make a neighborhood hangout feel a little more complete.
There is a little bit of a wait built into the transition. Phoenix New Times said the burger shop will open a kitchen inside Joy Lush Club later this month, following a brief closure for construction. So if you are a regular at either place, the change is coming soon, and it sounds like the goal is to keep the same burger appeal while giving people a new place to pair it with beer or wine.
Fasel’s path to this point started with what the paper described as an “unhealthy addiction” to smashburgers from Stoop Kid. That kind of obsession usually tells you everything you need to know.
