Scarizona is doing what haunted attractions do best: promising terror, then selling tickets for it. The Mesa staple is set to launch its 2026 Halloween season Friday, Sept. 25, with six weekends of haunted attractions running through Halloween weekend.
1. The location and schedule
Scarizona is located at 1901 N. Alma School Road near Loop 101 and Loop 202. According to the release, it will operate on 22 select nights during the season, which is a tidy little reminder that fear, like everything else, now comes in carefully managed inventory.
2. Three attractions, one admission
This year’s event includes three haunted attractions with admission: Dr. Death’s Haunted ICU, a medical-themed haunt; Mayhem in the Madness, featuring clowns, zombies and other horror characters; and Startled Darkness, a dark attraction meant to challenge visitors’ senses. In other words, the venue is not exactly leaning into subtlety.
3. Ticket options get a little more elaborate
General admission starts at $25.87, including fees, and the attraction is recommended for guests ages 13 and older. New for 2026, Scarizona says it has expanded ticketing with additional guest packages, earlier entry opportunities and VIP experiences. An Early Bird Special starts at $24.70, including fees, and allows admission beginning at 6:45 p.m.
4. A long-running Valley fright stop
Scarizona has operated in the Valley for more than two decades and is known for immersive haunted attractions and rotating seasonal themes. Allen Thompson, the venue’s director of operations, said the team spent the off-season reworking the scares and adding new ways to join the madness. That’s the seasonal business model in its purest form: make people nervous, then make it feel like a plan.
For anyone keeping score, the message is simple: Scarizona is back, the scares are refreshed, and the ticket menu has grown a little more ambitious. As Thompson put it, if you dare, come celebrate all things eerie this fall — which is about as close as haunted entertainment gets to a friendly invitation.
