The 2026 Rocktober 12 & Under Classic presented by Mikasa is back in Mesa this weekend, and yes, the calendar has once again decided to be rude about it. The event runs October 9-11 at the Kino Aquatic Center, bringing a national field to the Valley for a three-day stretch of youth water polo.

According to USA Water Polo, 42 teams from across the country are taking part this year. That alone tells you this is not some sleepy local scrimmage with a clipboard and a folding chair. It is a real tournament weekend, with enough teams to make the pool deck feel like a small traveling city.

The full schedule for the 12U competition is now available, and tickets are being sold through the event’s ticket marketplace. Live streaming is also available through Game On Live Studio for anyone who prefers to watch from somewhere with air conditioning and fewer wet footprints.

There is also a social side to the whole thing, because apparently even youth water polo understands the importance of making friends before the final whistle. The annual athlete pizza and pool party is set for Friday, October 9, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Organizers say athletes should bring their credential, or coaching credential, for admission.

For families and fans trying to keep everything straight, the event is centered at the Kino Aquatic Center, 848 N Horne in Mesa. That is where the weekend’s action is headed, and where the usual Arizona mix of competition, heat, and logistics will do its thing.

The Rocktober homepage has complete event information, but the basic picture is already clear: a big youth water polo event, a Mesa venue, and a weekend built around competition and the kind of organized chaos only a tournament can produce. In a state that loves to host big sports weekends, this one comes with a splash.
